TNS: Entering the Spiritual Wilderness (Lent)

Join us for our weekly Thursday Night Supper! Ash Wednesday is March 1st, and this will mark the beginning of our new TNS series: "Do Lent Well" !

Catholic Speaker and Songwriter, Dan Harms presents "Enter the Wilderness of Spiritual Discipline - Fun With Fasting and Almsgiving" Really, there isn't anything explicitly fun about fasting or almsgiving, but this talk will be fun.

Christ, like Moses, goes into the wilderness to fast and prepare himself for the challenges that lay ahead. As we are called to be disciples and imitators of Christ, we are called to enter into the spiritual wilderness of Lent through fasting and almsgiving.

This talk aims to leave you with a clearer understanding of the history, purpose and intent of these spiritual exercises and the motivation you need to pursue Christ this Lent - even into the Wilderness.

Come out and enjoy a great evening of mass, dinner, Lent 101, and dessert! All for free!! You don't want to miss the first part of this awesome series!
